Sliding Window Estimation and Cutting Software

AluSync draws a sliding window to size, works out every profile cut, glass pane and mesh shutter, and prices it as you draw. You can enter the size in soot, inches or mm.

Why sliding windows need more than a spreadsheet

A sliding window is the everyday job for most fabricators, and it is also where small mistakes add up. A wrong interlock allowance or a mesh shutter forgotten on one panel only shows up at the saw or on site.

In AluSync you pick the sliding product, draw the window and set the size. The drawing shows each panel with its own label, so G1 and G2 for glass and M1 for mesh match what appears on your quotation and cutting list.

Your own series rules stay in charge. Cut lengths, glass sizes and hardware quantities come from the formulas set up for that product, so a 2-track window in one series and a 3-track window in another each follow their own numbers.

What you can design

  • 2-track, 2-panel windows
  • 2-track, 4-panel windows
  • 3-track windows, with a mesh shutter on the third track
  • Sliding panels with a fixed light beside or above
  • Georgian bars on the glass
  • Sliding window or sliding door from the same screen

How AluSync handles it

Every panel sized for you

Panel, interlock and glass sizes come from your product formulas, so nobody works them out by hand for each window.

Glass the way your factory cuts it

Glass rounds to the factory’s 3-inch steps and bills per 0.25 sqft, so the quotation matches what you will pay for.

Mesh by the roll

Mesh is worked out as running length off a fixed-width roll, not as a guess per square foot.

Cuts packed against your stock

Track, panel and interlock cuts are packed into your real stock lengths, with kerf counted on both ends.

Questions about sliding windows

Can I enter sliding window sizes in soot?

Yes. You can enter sizes in soot, inches or mm. In soot, 32.5 means 32 inches and 5 soot, because 8 soot make 1 inch.

Does AluSync handle a mesh shutter on a sliding window?

Yes. You can add a mesh shutter to a panel. It appears on the drawing with its own label, and the mesh is calculated as running length off the roll.

Can I use my own aluminium or uPVC series?

Yes. Each product is set up with your own profiles, formulas and rates, so the numbers follow your series.
